[Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs] Wins President’s Award at Korea Content Awards

-2019 Korea Content Awards ceremony held at the 11th COEX in Seoul

-Significant meaning of 2019 Korean animation

 

Sidus (CEO Hyung-soon Kim) announced that [Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs] (Director Hong Sung-ho)’ of Sidus Animation won the President’s Award in the Animation Division at the ‘2019 Korea Content Awards’ held at COEX, Samsung-dong, Seoul on December 11.

 

This year’s 11th <Korea Contents Awards> ceremony was held to celebrate the most successful content and industrial development contributors in 2019 for broadcast video, cartoons, animation, characters, games, and overseas exports fields.

 

Sidus is a CGI animation company that has produced movies, CG special effects for CF, game cinematic trailers such as Lineage 2M, V4, and Running Man TV animation series. Sidus has made a feature film [Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs] for over a decade with about 200 people. Sidus Animation is Sidus’s original animation brand.

 

Hollywood actors Chloe Moretz and Sam Claflin participated in the voice acting , and animation director and designer Kim Sang-jin participated in the production. The number of domestic releases is about 820,000, with an exceptional record exceeding 800,000 in domestic creative animations.

 

CEO Kim Hyung-soon said, “Thank you to many people who have worked hard to make [Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs] a world-class film. We will try to raise the status of Korean animation with better films.” Hong Sung-ho said, “I would like to award all the staff members, and to all who watched the [Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs] and gave a good reviews and support. I will recompense with more advanced works.”

 

[Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs] pre-sold in 123 countries and have been released worldwide since their release in Korea. By 2020, they will meet with audiences from various countries including England and Germany.
